(176) AMP Ground SE - 10 SSBI

Perform top-level system engineering tasks for major Ground System, including requirements/specifications development and flowdown, external interface collaboration, as well as trade studies and risk assessment/reduction activities. Strong hardware S.E. background and previous project experience are recommended. Previous ground experience is a definite plus.
Strong team leadership and communication skills a must. MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering with >5 years experience required; MSEE or PhD in communications theory or DSP preferred. U.S. Citizenship/Active Restricted Access security clearance (EBI/SSBI) or ability to obtain a Restricted Access clearance is required. Employment contingent upon successfully obtaining and/or transferring clearance.

Must be capable of providing technical expertise and leadership in one or more of the following areas: spaceborne payload systems engineering design, communication systems, laser/optical communication systems, antenna systems design, RF and digital systems design, baseband and digital signal processing, modulation theory, signal detection and estimation, and synchronization theory.
