Description:
Kaplan Premier, Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions’ in-home tutoring division, is seeking part-time instructors to tutor SAT and ACT in students’ homes.

Part-time tutors teach our ACT or SAT prep courses, giving between 8 and 20 hours of instruction to each student. We are seeking caring individuals who can relate well with many types of students and adults and who can work independently. Private tutors specialize in either the math or verbal areas of the tests. Tutors also receive the opportunity to work with particular SAT Subject tests such as math, chemistry, history, or literature. Because lessons are conducted in students’ homes in the greater Chicago area , tutors must have access to reliable transportation. Requirements:
· Experience (formal or informal) in teaching, tutoring, counseling, or coaching.
· Strong academic background.
· High SAT or ACT scores in the subjects you wish to teach.
· Access to reliable transportation, like a car.
· A desire to work with local high school students
