Therapeutic Staff Support-TSS-Day hours for 06-07 school yr

WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR BILINGUAL (SPANISH/ENGLISH)

This position requires working with consumers in the community. Candidates must have the ability to wrok independently in the absence of direct supervision.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide one to one intervention to child/adolescent according to the treatment plan.
2. Complete documentation of interactions/interventions according to the agencies standards.
3. Carry out all duties in a responsible, professional, and ethical manner, upholding the values of NHS.
4. Intervene as needed when problem behaviors are exhibited.
5. Supervise/monitor activites of the child, with only emphasis placed on identified problems.
6. Maintain confidentality regarding child and departmental information per agency policies.
7. Attend treatment team meetings.
8. Assist the child/adolescent to develop and participate in constructive activities.

REQUIREMENTS
BA in human services related field (Psychology, Social Work, Education, Criminal Justice)
OR
BA in other field with one full year verified full-time, paid employment working in direct care with children/adolescents is required--MH, early intervention, children and youth, juvenile justice, education, drug and alcohol, day care or health systems.

**Current Child Abuse (Act 33) and Criminal History clearances in their original transcripts also required**

EXPERIENCE WITH AUTISM AND PDD STRONGLY PREFERRED
