KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work within a team and supervise a classroom of up to 30 children.
• Implementing CDI/CDC’s ECE program philosophy, which includes elements of
High/Scope, R.I.E. philosophy, Developmentally Appropriate Practice, and Reggio
Emilia.
• Supporting the center’s efforts toward achieving/maintaining NAEYC accreditation.
• Regularly communicating and working with families.
• Developing individual and group plans based on child assessment.
• Supporting program planning based on children’s interests and project approach.

REQUIREMENTS
CDI/CDC has openings in the Ventura County area for TEACHERS and ASSOCIATE TEACHRS.
A successful TEACHER or ASSOCIATE TEACHER candidate will have the following skills and experience:
• 6 to 24 college semester units in CD/ECE, including core courses (depending upon the position).
• 16 college semester units in General Education (depending upon the position).
• Significant experience working with children in a childcare setting.
• Knowledge of and/or familiarity with prominent developmental theories (as listed above).
• Demonstrated ability to work with children in a respectful, supportive, and positive manner.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience with the NAEYC accreditation process a plus.
