Substance Abuse Specialist

Substance Abuse Specialist, Part Time 20 hrs
Brighton Center’s Youth Services Department is seeking a part time Substance Abuse Specialist. This person will be working in a school environment with youth with academic, behavioral and/or attendance problems that are identified high risk due to drug/alcohol issues. Conducting the “Guiding Good Choices” curriculum with families, developing and implementing the After-school component of the project which is on-going throughout the 12 month year, coordinating community projects, using art activities and other interactive activities as a means of self expression for youth, monitor youth progress, documentation, collection of data and assistance with reports.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree with a minimum of two years experience in working with youth in the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades and experience in the drug/alcohol field.

Salary Range: $12-$14 hour
