Software Sales Executive (K-12 Educational Sales)
Regional Software Sales Manager/K-12 (Individual Contributor)Job Description:
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will ideally meet or exceed sales objectives of the assigned territory by promoting and selling our client’s product through professional sales techniques and long-term customer relationships.
The RSM will play an integral role in the success of the sales team. Specifically they will be responsible for:>Meeting and exceeding set sales quotas while adhering to our client's sales rules of engagement.>Making prospecting part of the regular routine ensuring that new prospects are being added to the pipeline on a consistent basis.>Managing a complex, enterprise solution sale with a 6 month to 18 month purchasing cycle.>Moving the sale through the entire sales process ending after the transition to Account Manager. This includes taking an active role in the RFP process.>Being well informed about current industry trends and being able to talk intelligently about the education industry.
>Becoming familiar with all our client’s Partner relationships and how they relate to our client’s sales.>Effectively using the sales force automation tool to enter all sales information into this system.>Keeping abreast of competition, competitive issues and products.>Attending and participating in sales meetings, product seminars and trade shows.>Preparing written presentations, reports and price quotations.>Assisting in contract negotiations.>Ability to up-sell and sell additional products/services into existing clients.>Defining and executing territory sales plans.
REQUIREMENTS
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
>Bachelors degree required>5+ years sales experience in the eLearning, education, and/or complex solution software sales industries strongly preferred
>Consistently successful achievement of 1M+ quotas, consultative enterprise/solution or technical sales>Ability to manage a pipeline of 50+ accounts at any given time>Ability to work in a team environment>Proven success prospecting, building a pipeline, moving opportunities through the sales cycle
>High priority will be given to candidates that have experience proposing, presenting and discussing solutions with Sr. Educational Executive level and other decision-makers
In addition:
>This position requires the RSM to work out of home as base operations, unless based in the New York City area.>Ideal location is: Northern California, Southern California and Texas
>Must be able to travel 70% of the time.
