Kaplan Test Prep & Admissions is seeking an Area Director to oversee two centers – one in Downtown Los Angeles and the other in Pasadena. The dynamic and results-oriented professional selected for this position will lead and manage teams to achieve goals, deliver superior performance and drive profitability. The Area Director will also provide leadership, guidance and support to ensure a culture of exceptional customer service.
Primary responsibilities:
- Direct day-to-day operations of two retail operations including P&L management.
- Manage the business to key performance metrics.
- Pursue and develop new business opportunities by developing and implementing local marketing programs.
- Hire, train and supervise staff.
- Provide leadership, motivation and direction to teams.
- Supervision of administrative tasks such as payroll, accounts receivable, and enrollment management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 4-5+ years of management, operations, marketing, sales experience
- Ability to successfully manage P & L
- Demonstrated success in managing staff and multi-site operations
- Proven success in hiring, retaining and developing top talent
- Strong leadership, entrepreneurial and team motivation skills
- Problem solving, decision-making and creative thinking abilities
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications and presentation skills
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
