School-to-Work/Tech Prep Associate
School-to-Work / Tech Prep AssociateJob Location: Fond du Lac CampusApplications are being accepted for a part-time School-to-Work/Tech Prep Associate at Moraine Park Technical College, Fond du Lac campus. This position facilitates collaboration between MPTC, secondary schools, CESA, technical colleges and the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) to advance Tech Prep opportunities. This position also facilitates teacher-to-teacher efforts and faculty and staff development. This is a limited term position dependent on the Carl D. Perkins Title II Tech Prep funding. This position reports to the Recruitment and Retention Associate.Beginning Date: ImmediatelyCharacteristic Duties / Responsibilities:Manage Carl D. Perkins Vocational and Technical Education Act of 1998, Tech Prep Title II Grant, including budget development, data collection, authorization of project funds to local high schools, grant writing, fiscal reporting and annual reports.
Maintain and negotiate articulation agreements and 38.14 contracts between secondary schools and MPTC.
Communicate transcripted and advanced standing credit information and opportunities to students, parents and secondary staff.
Provide for development of the Tech Prep initiatives of articulation, career development and applied/integrated curriculum for secondary and WTCS faculty.
Provide inservice training to effectively implement Tech Prep programs and train faculty in the use of contextual and applied curricular instruction.Assess Tech Prep outcomes and compile interim and final written reports documenting School-to-Work/Tech Prep project work for state and local agencies.
Provide curriculum oversight and instructional support to secondary schools.
Serve as college liaison for Youth Apprenticeship articulations.Partner with Recruitment and Retention team to provide communications and promotional activities to K – 12 and other target markets. Develop marketing materials that describe tech prep opportunities and distribute to students, parents and local business.
Other School-to-Work/Tech Prep duties as assigned.Qualifications:Master’s Degree in education/counseling, marketing or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired.
Two years of certifiable teaching experience or two years of counseling or supervisory experience.
Two years related occupational experience other than employment with a board of education.
Ability to plan, promote and implement educational workshops including design of in-service.
Knowledge of state and national School-to-Work initiatives including Tech Prep, and ability to provide technical assistance to secondary schools.
Knowledge of educational marketing processes and procedures.
Meet WTCS certification requirements for instructional related supervisors.Salary Range: D2 ($45,580 - $68,340) Based on a 200 day contract, the annual salary for this position will be $36,919 - $55,355.Benefits:Group Health Insurance (prorated)
