STONY BROOK UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER Clinical Laboratory Technologist Blood Bank UH# 8837 The Stony Brook University Medical Center Blood Bank is seeking a highly motivated Blood Bank Technologist to work in our fully automated tertiary care transfusion service laboratory. This position offers a rewarding experience in our academic environment while meeting the needs of our expanding transfusion medicine service. Required: A Baccalaureate degree in Medical Technology or related field with American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalent certification strongly preferred. Eligibility for NY State licensure as per the Clinical Laboratory Technology Practice Act. Preferred: Experience additional to minimum requirement. Blood Bank experience including automation experience. Salary commensurate with experience. Surgical Clinical Data Manager UH# 8835 Required: Registered Nurse with three or more years of nursing experience. Project management skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with diverse populations of health-care workers is critical. Basic computer skills including spreadsheet and word processing. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing, cardiac nursing care experience, clinical chart review and abstraction experience, and three or more years of performance improvement experience.
