SPEECH PATHOLOGIST - SUMMER and/or FALL, 2006
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Screens and evaluates the communication and feeding/swallowing
skills of preschoolers as per ASHA guidelines.
Develops and implements therapy programs.
Participates in all aspects of the interdisciplinary treatment
team including meetings, consultations, and classroom program
development.
Maintains and submits clinical documentation as required including
evaluation & screening reports, daily log notes, IEP documentation,
and lesson plans & goal setting.
Functions as a child advocate both internally and externally
(participation in annual reviews).
Evaluates the effectiveness of programs in the classroom including
language lessons, group communication programs, and computer programs.
Provides parent and staff training.
Full-Time/Part-Time/Summer/FFS (center based and/or home-based)
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
TSHH or TSSLD required. CFY opportunities available. CCC/SLP and Bilingual extension a plus. ASHA CEUs available.

and without disabilities, our classrooms are nurturing settings
where children grow intellectually, socially and psychologically.
These programs include Head Start and Day Care. Equally important
is our work with families, our partners in developing supportive
home environments and reinforcing new skills.
Birch offers training in state-of-the-art best practices in
Special and General Education, Early Childhood Education,
Behavior Management, the Integrated Therapy Model, training for
ASHA CEUs, and TEACCH (Treatment and Education of Autistic and
related Communication handicapped CHildren).
REQUIREMENTS
