SPECIAL NEEDS & SOCIAL SERVICES POSITIONS - HEAD START

Family Development Services’ Head Start preschool program has immediate openings for:

ASST. SPECIAL NEEDS COORD.
Responsibilities include: Coordinating special needs services w/ outside agencies, providing referrals & services for students/parents, using diagnostic methods to identify students' needs, & assist Special Needs Coordinator w/ supervision/support of Classroom Mgmt Educator. MA/MS preferred in Special Ed or related field; BA/BS req’d. Exp coordinating services, working w/ special needs children & families, & in mental health + 2 yrs mgmt exp req’d.

FIELD SUPERVISOR
Responsibilities include: Supervision of Family Service Workers & Intake Workers, providing on-going training, recordkeeping/database monitoring, & frequent reporting. BA/BS in Social Work or related field + 3 yrs exp in social services or case mgmt w/ demonstration of leadership ability req'd. Must have transportation for local travel on daily basis. Mgmt exp preferred.

FAMILY SERVICE WORKER
Responsibilities include: interviewing families & assessing needs, monitoring goal accomplishments, organized maintenance of case files, data entry, reporting, coordinating referrals, & conducting home visits. BA/BS in Social Work or related field + 1-2 yrs exp req’d. Home visit exp preferred.

INTAKE WORKER
Responsibilities include: recruitment/enrollment of children, intake mtgs with families, case file maintenance, & frequent reporting. HS diploma/GED req’d. Must type & 10-key 45 wpm with 98% accuracy + customer service exp req’d.
