SENIOR PROGRAMMER ANALYST
SUMMARY
Coordinates the analysis of complex problems requiring information system solutions.

Coordinates the analysis of complex problems requiring information systems solutions
Organizes and directs the activities of a team assigned to specific projects
Schedules and coordinates the computer production functions
Provides the expertise necessary for software development and enhancement functions
Provides training and development of new programmers
Provides training and support in administrative software applications to client offices
Promotes and maintains quality of service to all clients and users
Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge of SCT IA+ software strongly preferred
Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
At least two years experience in DEC COBOL software programming and design
At least three years experience in applications programming
Security sensitive position, subject to background checks
Commitment to the community college philosophy of education
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems with at least 20 semester credit hours in information-systems-related studies, minimum. Master's preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of students, employees, managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
