The K12 division is a fast paced and rapidly growing part of Kaplan's business.
The Research, Evaluation, and Assessment team is responsible for establishing the guiding principles around which the Kaplan K12 programs are built. In addition the team is responsible for evaluating the overall effectiveness of the Kaplan programs, working directly with the product teams to enhance their message and materials.
The research coordinator manages key aspects of qualitative and quantitative data collection; assists with analyses, and reporting, and with the identification of trends, best practices, and recommendations to inform internal teams (Technology, Implementation, Sales, Product and Curriculum Development, Assessment) to drive Kaplan K12 business and research goals.
Responsibilities
o Manage, track collection of, process, and where necessary, analyze, all survey results; provide summary reports of survey results.
o Manage the Kaplan K12 Educator Advisory Board - specifically, ensure the monthly delivery of materials and assignments for Board review; track, analyze, and summarize results; report market feedback to the product, marketing, and sales teams.
o Review and analyze student data (attendance, pretest, and post test, subtopic level) used to support Kaplan program effectiveness claims. Identity trends in student data and assist the Executive Director of Research and Evaluation in making recommendations to the Implementation, Assessment, and Sales teams.
o Collect data from state and district websites to inform summative program reports, write and manage Research Case Studies and assist the implementation teams with Effective Implementation Model Reports; facilitate white paper development. Responsible for producing and updating Research Portfolio.
o Collaborate with the Marketing team to create research and sales collateral.
o Database management and overall project tracking
o Oversee and develop part-time college level interns.
o Additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
o BA required
o Strong interest in qualitative and/or quantitative research; database management and/or experience in education.
o Skilled use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
o Superior organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle numerous details in a fast paced environment
o High energy level, diligent work ethic, and able to meet a variety of deadlines
o Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills
