Rehab Education and Compliance Coordinator

We are recruiting a Rehab Education and Compliance Coordinator, Central Region, to join our Peoplefirst Rehabilitation Division.

Summary: Identify, develop, and implement ongoing training of clinical programs. Supports clinical excellence by providing field support to managers and staff therapists.

Essential Functions:



Support development of rehab clinical programs.
Assists with coordinating structured orientation of therapists who are new to Kindred Healthcare.
Monitors staff training to ensure compliance with government CCA requirements.
Analyzes training needs and provides remedial training to staff therapists as necessary.
Fosters effective relationships with customers/clients.
Perpetuates team building at the facility and regional level.
Actively participates in community education to promote effective marketing of rehab programs.
Conducts job responsibilities in accordance the standard set out in the Company's Code of Business Conduce, its policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.
Monitors and develops plans to improve profit margin and maximize cost savings.
Assists with training in Policies and Procedures as related to provision of rehabilitation services.
Performs other tasks as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:



Knowledge of Long Term Care, Medicaid and Medicare regulations and standards.
Ability to travel frequently.
Ability to develop effective communication with RRD's, ARD's and clinical staff.
Ability to teach/train new information.
Maintains up to date knowledge of new clinical developments.
Working knowledge of 3 rehab disciplines.
Excellent documentation skills.
Ability to effectively communicate with patients and their families.
Knowledge of policies and procedure related to the provision of rehabilitation services.














Qualifications: Education



Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy.
Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology. Licenses/Certification:
Licensed by or eligible for licensure in respective state. Experience
Four years of clinical experience.
Two years in long term care.
