Regional Human Resources Manager- Educaton K-12 Chicago, IL

The Regional Human Resources Manager is a generalist role and partners with the Human Resources Director to help articulate strategic vision of the organization and acts as a business partner with their respective client group which includes Vice Presidents of Operations, District Managers and site managers. This role reports to the HR Director and will be a member of the regional team as well as the larger Education K-12 HR team.



Some of the key responsibilities include but are not limited to:


Ability to resolve employee concerns through an analysis of performance, counseling, and coaching sessions.
Provide professional consultation and support to regional management and hourly employees on a variety of issues, including employment, career management and performance management.
Facilitate and/or coordinate customer service, leadership developmental and mandated safety and awareness programs within a specific geography.
Demonstrate an understanding of strategic business partnering.
Involvement in start up activities at new K-12 client sites
Analyze and resolve novel and complex work issues and interpersonal issues on a daily basis
Ensure the HR services, programs and processes are implemented and operating in a consistent manner
Active involvement in Employee Relations, Recruitment, Training and Labor Relations activitives





Job Requirements


Qualifications :
Must have 4 to 5 years of extensive HR generalist experience
Bachelor degree minimum is required; MS is preferred
PHR and SPHR certifications are preferred but not required
Must have strong union or labor relations experience
Must have mult-level, multi-state and multi-level experience
Solid financial and business acumen are essential to succes
Ability to link HR decisions to overall company/business objectives
Strong computer skills; exhibited competency with Webex, Excel, Access and others, primarily for metrics, grids, etc.
Planning, organizing and time management skills
Excellent coaching and mentoring skills are preferred
Must be willing to travel 30-40%
