Position Summary:
The Reading Implementation Consultant is responsible for the effective delivery of Kaplan K12's reading programs in schools and is also accountable for the success of each assigned account within his/her region as measured by program results and customer satisfaction. Kaplan K12 Learning Services develops reading programs for grades K-12 that are comprehensive, research-based, and have proven success in the classroom.

In this role, the Reading Implementation consultant will have the following key responsibilities:
o Develop and manage strong customer relationships
o Deliver professional development with ongoing professional learning opportunities to administrators and teachers
o Lead the implementation process and provide quality progress reports and evaluations for internal and external use
o Create and modify the implementation plan to meet the specific needs of teachers and students
o Provide ongoing coaching and implementation support to teachers during classroom visits.
o Coordinate internally with the product development, research, sales, and operations teams to communicate best practices
o Stay abreast of current research and issues in early and adolescent literacy

The Reading Implementation Consultant must possess keen insight into best practices for K-12 in reading program implementation and have experience with adult learning. Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills with the ability to listen and respond and must be able to show the creative problem-solving skills and relationship-building skills required for this position. Additionally, the consultant must possess strong presentation skills to interact effectively with diverse groups and audiences.

Qualifications:
Candidates must have all of the following qualifications:
o BA/BS required; Masters with emphasis in literacy instruction preferred
o 3 or more years as a full-time teacher in the area of reading and literacy
o Strong background and experience working with reading teachers and/or struggling readers
o Experience in facilitating and leading professional learning experiences
o Advanced presentation skills
o Computer literate and able to use word processing and databases
o Travel required
