Programmer Analyst

Analyst will perform analytic dataset formation, data cleaning, dataset linking, statistical analysis and report generation from large administrative healthcare datasets using SAS statistical software in the UNIX environment. Will be responsible for maintaining the integrity, confidentially and security of all datasets used for the project. Will be expected to work independently in performing the necessary data management tasks and analyses as directed by the project manager and principal investigator, writing and executing the necessary SAS code, examining output, and summarizing results to internal reports indicating the results of the computational tasks. Will be expected to assist the PI/Pm in preparing statistics for external reports.
REQUIREMENTS
BA/BS with 2 years of experience with SAS programming in a research environment required; preferred research experience in the fields of economics, health services research, or clinical epidemiology. Applicant should have a working knowledge of biostatistics and how to implement statistical tests in SAS or Stata. Experience working in UNIX environment preferred. Experience with advanced SAS programming techniques using large health care datasets is highly preferred. Position is contingent upon funding.
