Program Manager

Foundations, Inc. is a nationally-recognized non-profit that provides professional development, training, technical assistance, assessment tools, and publications to improve educational outcomes for underserved or disadvantaged children and youth across the country. Foundations, Inc. seeks a full-time Program Manager who will be under the supervision of the Director of the Pennsylvania High School Math and Literacy Coaching Initiative.

The program manager will have the responsibility for communicating, managing, and delivering programmatic information about the Pennsylvania High School Coaching Initiative (PAHSCI).

The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

•Works directly with the Director of the PAHSCI.

•Assumes direct responsibility for program design and implementation.

•Oversees day-to-day PAHSCI program operations.

•Assigns and monitors the work of individuals who lead partner groups and conducts meetings with partner groups.

•Develops and maintains strong working relationships with partner groups and districts.

•Plans, develops and coordinates professional development sessions.

•Coordinates program market strategies, etc., with communications coordinator.

•Maintains program documentation in archive binders.

•Generates letters to POCs (Point of contact) where appropriate.

•Works closely with Foundation, Inc. Director of Coaching.

•Participates in meetings as required.

•Visits districts where appropriate.

•Assumes direct responsibility for planning events, i.e., coordinates lodging, catering and technical details of Centralized trainings and networking sessions.

•Performs other tasks related to the overall PAHSCI project.
REQUIREMENTS
•Bachelor’s Degree in related field.

•15 years experience in education and/or other non-profit organization or combination of education and experience.

•Experience in program development, coordination, supervision, and management.

•Experience with recording and tracking of data.

•Experience tracking program metrics that reflect a project’s performance.

•Strong oral and written communication skills.

•Experience with adult learning strategies.

•Ability to manage a varied workload.

•Able to work effectively within a team environment.

•Knowledge and experience with educational reform.

•Strong interpersonal skills.

•Ability and willingness to travel (local and national).

•Appropriate computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), including knowledge of web.

•Must be able to exercise discretion and judgment in sensitive and potentially controversial matters.
