Medical Assistant Program Director


Would you welcome the challenge to oversee the Medical Assistant program at our campus in North Stockton? As our Medical Assistant Program Director you will be responsible for the leadership and supervision of our accredited program. You will report directly to the Director of Education and you will over see the daily management of nine instructors.

Maric College offers diploma programs leading to employment in allied health careers. With a current student population of approximately 375 attending students, our facility is 21,035 sq. ft of office, laboratory, and classroom space. The Maric College campus has 21 years of established presence in the community and an employment network.

You will strive to:

Maintain retention of students in the program at 4% or less through quality programs
Manage faculty for quality instruction, oversee curriculum, and maintain accreditation standards
Oversee faculty development through on-going professional development
Oversee the selection of externship sites, and the supervision and evaluation of student externs
Budgetary responsibility including Assess needs and assist in selection and purchase of program-related equipment


You will need the skills and experience to:

Hire, train, schedule, and supervise all Medical Assistant instructors
Multi-task, solve problems, and work well with a diverse student population
Build and maintain the respect of faculty, staff and students.
Maintain standards of performance and behavior for faculty and students
Local travel to medical facilities will be required.

Minimum requirements:

Must be a graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program
Supervisory or managerial experience a BIG PLUS
4 years work experience in the medical field
Teaching experience preferred
