Program Director

1.Plans, develops and manages direct-service programs (including evaluations; clinical services; educational; medical; nutrition; recreation; and special needs programs).
2.Directly supervises management staff; collaborates with same in evaluating junior supervisory staff and programs.
3.Prepares budget analysis and submits budget recommendation to Regional Director along with managing operating budget.
4.Willingness to acquire skills to train various personnel on gender responsive programming.
5.Evaluates and recommends hiring of new staff
6.Marketing and promotion of the Building Bridges program.
7.Incorporate and supervise the NHS Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) program activities for girls.
8.Adherence to licensure policies and procedures set forth by DPW.
9.Establish a working relationship with regional juvenile justice financial analyst and other essential regional support staff members.
10.Identify and recruit members for participation on an Advisory Board.
11.Undertakes special projects, as directed by proper authority
12.Provide technical support to local county directors for the development of community based services for girls.
13.Support, assist and represent the Regional Director as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIREMENTS: Graduation from an accredited college or university, with major coursework in sociology, social work, psychology, criminal justice or education. Five years progressively responsible experience working with juvenile offenders and at least two years supervisory experience.
Or
Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university along with 2 years of progressively responsible experience working with juvenile offenders and at least one year of supervisory experience.
