Program Administrator
Basic Functions and Responsibilities: **Exempt**This position requires the application of knowledge of assessment development in science, program administration, educational measurement, and a working knowledge of statistical analyses. Knowledge of computer-based testing is also preferred. Superior verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent presentation, analytical, coordination, organization and cooperative skills are required.The successful candidate will possess, or will demonstrate a strong potential to rapidly acquire a high degree of competence in science test question writing and review; science test assembly and review; a solid knowledge of issues related to the scoring of constructed-response questions and experience in coordinating large scale constructed-response scoring activities in science; the ability to accurately analyze test data; and produce reports of student performance on science assessment. Some part of the position may also involve work on research projects involving science assessment.This position also requires periodic communications and presentations to clients, external consultants, and members of professional organizations, as well as the ability to interact effectively with other project partners. Functional supervision may be exercised over less senior professional staff as well as support staff. REQUIREMENTS
Education: A masters degree in science or science education or higher. Demonstrated success in test development processes and background in the area of life sciences are highly desirable.Experience: Experience that provides evidence of knowledge and successful performance in science test development, program administration, and educational measurement is necessary. In addition, the following are expected:Skill in interpersonal communication sufficient to interact with ETS staff, make presentations, advise clients and candidates and interpret and communicate program policies and guidelines,Excellent written communication skills to be utilized in the preparation of reports, proposals, and correspondence, and in the drafting and review of manuscripts and program publications, andAbility to develop working knowledge of ETS policies and procedures as they relate to program responsibilities in order to complete assigned projects and ability to collect, analyze, and interpret program data and make recommendations.
