Pre-Kindergarten Teacher

Pre-Kindergarten Teacher Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI) is currently seeking Pre-K Teachers and Head Start Staff for our programs in the Chicagoland area. Reporting to the Site Director, the Pre-K Teachers will be responsible for:
Planning, directing, and coordinating activities for children in a specific classroom Employment opportunities are available at the following locations in Chicago:
Messiah Head Start, 1910 W. 64th StreetTrinidad Children's Center, 2921 W. DivisionResponsibilities for the Pre-Kindergarten Teacher include:
Total daily program oversight of classroom & group, initiate discussion with supervisor regarding classroom concernsWork closely with assistant teachers in planning activities through weekly team meetingsSupervise assistant teachers and all auxiliary volunteers in classroom and help to plan for in-service training needs of staffDemonstrate sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural differences present in the agency’s service population.Lutheran Social Services of Illinois is a not-for-profit social service agency with more than 100 program sites throughout the state of Illinois. Our services include counseling, mental health, substance abuse treatment, housing and services for older adults and a variety of services for children including preschool, foster care, and adoption. REQUIREMENTS
Specifications for the Pre-Kindergarten Teacher:
