Part Time Instructors - Santa Monica

Come grow with us! Sylvan Learning Center, the world’s leading provider of supplemental education, is seeking Part-Time Instructors for day, evening and weekend instruction. Math instructors are required to have a degree in mathematics. Previous tutoring experience preferred. Experience tutoring algebra and/or geometry a plus! State certification rquired for non mathematic instructors.


Reporting to the Director of Education, you will:


Teach students in a 3:1 student-teacher ratio setting
Use pre-planned lessons
Use proven methods developed by educators
Use familiar materials approved by schools
Motivate students of all ages to excel academically

Specific subject areas include:
Reading (all levels)
Writing (all levels)
Math (elementary through Algebra 1 & 2 and Geometry)
Study Skills
SAT/ACT Preparation. REQUIREMENTS
Math instructors are required to have a degree in mathematics. Previous tutoring experience preferred. Experience tutoring Algebran or Geometry a PLUS! State Certification required for non-mathematic instructors.
