PROGRAM CHAIR - DOCTORATE & VIRTUAL / BUSINESS & MANAGEMENT - INSTITUTE OF ADVANCED STUDIES

Program-level position responsible for all educational activities, direction and coordination of academic program with a business perspective, and also accreditation of programs. Provides student support through doctoral-level advising, and next level handling of student issues and complaints. Manages faculty loading, class scheduling and textbook ordering in conjunction with Chancellor. Supervises full-time and adjunct faculty and manages and performs faculty evaluations. Supports Chancellor through curricular and assessment activities. Provides faculty support through orientation and training. Supports Department Chair in introduction of new quality, applied educational products, marketing, course development, and course maintenance. Responsible for development of an adjunct faculty pool. Develops and implements assessment activities; ensures assessment of course and program objectives. Participates in budgeting process; maintains liaison with industry, accreditation and government organizations as needed; works with advisory boards; and serves on campus and university-wide committees. May teach courses as determined by Chancellor. Nurtures a positive work and learning environment.
REQUIREMENTS
A Doctoral degree with five years of progressive management experience in an educational environment is required, as well as record of successful publication in the field of management. Must possess excellent customer service, problem-solving as well as verbal and written communications skills.
