Nursing Faculty

Enhance the quality of teaching and learning by diversifying approaches to more effectively address diverse learning needs and styles and engage students more fully and actively in the learning process through curricular and curricular activities.

·Responsible for supporting the Baptist Health System’s School of Health Profession’s mission, vision, philosophy and values;
·Presenting and evaluating didactic and clinical content to peers, patients, staff, and/or students;
·Adhering to acceptable standards of practice, business ethics, integrity, and complying with all federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations;
·Supporting System, Department pillar goals, policies and procedures;
·Demonstrating behaviors, practices, and activities associated with the faculty role;
·Participating in Baptist Health System and School of Health Professions committees, sponsored functions, community service activities, departmental meetings and student functions;
·Serving as liaison between the System, its employees, patients, students, public and the community; and
·Demonstrating behaviors that promote professionalism (i.e., punctuality, dress, demeanor, and self-development).
REQUIREMENTS
·Education: Masters degree in field, working towards bachelor’s/master’s degree, and hold proper certification/registry.
·Experience: Minimum of three years clinical experience within discipline areas is required. Teaching experience of one year or more is preferred.
·License/Registry/Certification: Must have appropriate credentials to legally practice in Texas.
