The National Dean of Academic Affairs will be responsible for the compliance of federal and accrediting laws and procedures for all school locations. In addition, the position will strategically and actively work towards increasing student retention. The incumbent will report to the Vice President of Academic Affairs and be located at the our Corporate Headquarters in Carmel, Indiana, a northern suburb of Indianapolis.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement retention strategies for all ITT Technical Institute locations.
Creation of Academic Affairs policies and procedures and the maintenance of the Student Handbook.
Conduct interviews and make hiring recommendations.
Coordinate with other key directors in the design and development of training and communication programs for all college Academic Affairs staff and faculty.
Analyze course surveys for trends and develop strategies for improvement.
Manage compliance with federal and accrediting laws, rules and regulations.
Review and report on Advisory Committee meeting minutes for all colleges.
Assist with the resolution of student complaints regarding Academic Affairs.
Approve Articulation agreements.
Consult with Deans to assist students with individual education accommodations needs.
Communicate best practices in instructional methods, materials and techniques.
Review and advise colleges on Institutional Effectiveness Plans (IEP) as well as assist in the development of academic goals and objectives for the college’s IEP.

REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 4 to 6 years experience in educational administration or related area.
Ability to adapt and maintain a positive orientation to change, learn and introduce others to new methodologies, technologies and systems.
Masters degree in Education or related field.
Experience in organizing and writing correspondence, reports and presentations.
Ability to communicate and present information to individuals of all levels.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the internet required


Candidate must relocate to our Corporate Headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana.
