The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA), is a private, non-profit national organization dedicated to finding the cure for Crohn’s Disease and ulcerative colitis. CCFA sponsors basic and clinical research of the highest quality, offers a wide range of educational programs for patients and health care professionals, and provides supportive services to patients and family members.The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America seeks a Manager for its newly created Patient Resource Center (PRC). The Manager will lead and oversee the strategic initiatives to create a resource center that will provide cutting edge information, ongoing support and guidance to all patients and families with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications and Responsibilities:
This person is responsible for the overall management of the PRC, the development and implementation of the PRC database system, and for providing accurate and authoritative information on IBD.At least 50% of time will be spent answering PRC calls and electronic inquiries.The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in social work, public health, nursing or similar degree and at least 5 years supervisory experience in health education services.Excellent written/oral communication skills, proficiency in MS office and experience with computerized information databases and telephone information services required.
