Manager – Medical Education
In this role, you will provide managerial leadership and guidance to the Medical Science Liaison team while establishing goals and expectations for the Medical Science Liaison team. You must also review and critique Grant-in-Aid or Hospira-sponsored clinical research proposals and engage and establish professional, collegial working relationships with key opinion leaders covering a wide range of clinical and basic science interests pertaining to Hospira proprietary drug(s).
In addition, you will provide professional medical and/or scientific representation and support at regional, national and international meetings where Hospira proprietary products are presented. You will also manage people in recruiting, hiring, training of his/her staff.
REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in this position, you must possess:
PhD, Pharm D, MD or equivalent.
Terminal professional degree is required.
Five or more years of experience in a clinically related area is required.
Five or more years of management experience.
Evidence of clinical or scientific publication and/or medical writing expertise is required.
Professional licensure/registration retained current and upgraded as needed.
Five or more years of experience with clinical or basic science research is required.
Regulatory or Food and Drug Administration interaction experience is preferred.
Computer skills should be well above average for presentation and word processing work-related activities.
Ability to work cooperatively and with expected professionalism is mandatory.
