Library Technical Assistant 1 - Westport Branch (WPLTA1091406)
This position will provide basic library services to customers; performs circulation/registration support tasks; assists with collection maintenance and shelves/retrieves library materials. Checks materials in and out; issues library cards; collects fines and charges; updates customer records in the computer; processes customer requests for reserve items. Lifts, routes and shelves materials which may weigh up to 10 lbs. from overhead book bins and shelves. Requires high school diploma/GED and basic computer skills. Salary: $10.84 per hour. 20 hours a week. Hours: Mon 10-3pm, Tues & Wed 10-2pm and Sat 9:30-5pm. Position closes Sept 28, 2006. A completed application from the library is required to be considered.
