Job Description and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
Provides advanced instructional design, development,
implementation, and evaluation recommendations to supported business
unit
leaders.
Support our learning system with expertise in front-end needs
analysis,
performance gap analysis, curriculum development and management,
web-based
design, and project management.
Recommend and design evaluation strategies to measure the quality and
effectiveness of training programs and makes recommendations for
improvement.
Contribute to company goals by recommending, designing and developing
learning and performance support tools that will enable our
associates to
acquire the knowledge and skills they need to excel in their work.
Partners with internal Learning Excellence Curriculum Development
team to
translate design solutions into instructional materials such as job
aids,
self-study materials, leader guides, leader led materials, and
e-learning
materials as necessary.
Oversee the maintenance and refinement of our task-based competency
models
and proficiency assessment system partnership with Human Resources.
Facilitates the proper identification and management of the available
network of Subject Matter Experts within each supported business
units.
Formulate design and implement standards for training documents,
including
writing style, formatting, graphic design, and layout.
Assist with the revision and updating of training materials in
response to
changes in policy and procedures, and/or based on results of needs
analyses.
Assist in the design of processes and activities, including lectures,
focus groups, discussions, role-play simulations, case studies, and
experiential activities.
Perform miscellaneous duties related to training and development.
Job Requirements:
BA/BS degree in Instructional Design
or Instructional Systems Technology (Masters Preferred).
Minimum 5-7 years training and/or instructional design experience
required.
Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and practices to
include: adult learning theories, interactive training, and learning
design,
e-learning design principles, distance learning, self-paced
instruction,
evaluation methods, Human Performance Technology processes, and
Electronic
Performance Support Systems.
Strong understanding and experience with Learning Management Systems
and
Object Oriented Learning Content Management systems.
Excellent writing and communication skills, strong computer skills
(Word,
PowerPoint, Excel, etc. required and on-line training development
skills
preferred).
Able to conduct efficient Web based information searches via a wide
range
of search engine alternatives.
Must be a flexible and independent worker with high energy,
self-motivation, and strong customer focus.
Experience with ISO 9001 quality procedures and systems are a plus.
Position is located in Scottsdale, AZ.
