Under the direction of the Instructional and Research Technology Leader, collaborates with faculty and staff to promote the appropriate use of instructional technologies to support faculty and staff in the application, selection, design, development, and deployment of current and emerging information technologies in the delivery of the Colleges’ educational programs. Also works with students to engage them in the integration of technology in learning and scholarship. This is a hands-on position which plays a key role in fostering, facilitating, and supporting the use of technology in teaching, learning, and research. Responsibilities include

· Demonstrate pedagogical and practical understanding of seamless technology integration in the teaching and learning process

· Build relationships with faculty and staff to align delivery of Instructional Technology services with institutional needs

· Analyze target audience, job tasks and learner environment to identify appropriate instructional strategies and define learning objectives based on needs analysis

· Develop and deliver programs, workshops, and training for faculty and staff on the use of instructional technologies and the pedagogical applications of instructional technology

· Provide training using a systematic instructional design process to ensure that products meet client goals

· Partner with faculty and staff in the exploration and use of instructional technologies

· Work with the academic units to determine the adequate level of technology support to be provided for faculty and student research

· Support the continued development and implementation of classroom technologies

· Integrate streaming media, multimedia, and audio visual technologies into instructional technology capabilities

· Provide consultation and support of Instructional Technology related platforms (i.e. Blackboard, Surveyor, Turnitin.com, Element K, etc.)


QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor of Science degree in Instructional Technology, Instructional Design, or related field. Master’s degree preferable. The ideal candidate must be customer service driven with an overall focus on excellent service delivery; have an understanding of instructional design and ability to create educational products based on a needs analysis; have the ability to multi-task and to learn quickly and continuously as required by technical challenges of the role; have thorough understandings of digital literacy, copyright, and plagiarism; bring creativity, enthusiasm and vision to the role; and be a collaborative team player who is also able to work independently with a minimal amount of supervision. Must have at least 2 years of experience, including teaching or training preferably in a higher education or technology services organization, with a track record of excellent results. Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks. Knowledge and experience with Windows and Macintosh operating systems.
