Instructional Designer

Under minimal supervision, this position has responsibility for project management and product design associated with needs assessment, development, and evaluation of academic programs. This includes creating and managing work plans of designated curriculum development projects to ensure that goals and/or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
Job Requirements
Master's degree required. Degree related to Instructional Design/Technology strongly preferred.

Progressively responsible experience in a business and/or in a project management role performing instructional and product design activities, as described above.

Must be able to demonstrate a high level of conceptual thinking to participate in the development, revision, and evaluation of course materials, as well as create course and program evaluation instruments, as described above.

Must possess excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills to communicate University standards and instructional design principles, policies, and procedures.

Must have a working knowledge of personal and web-based software packages to prepare course materials, reports, and correspondence, as well as produce documents for a web-based environment.

Proven experience working with databases and document management systems required.

Must be results oriented and able to direct or manage multiple projects and activities.
