POSITION: Information Technology Manager I

DEPARTMENT: Information Technology

DIVISION: Institutional Advancement

LOCATION: Northeastern Technical College, Cheraw, SC (A two-year public college, part of the South Carolina Technical Education System, offering non-credit programs and certificates, diplomas and associate degrees in Technical, Industrial, Business, Arts & Sciences.)

ANTICIPATED HIRE DATE: October 15, 2006

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for developing and directing the daily operations of the Information Technology Department to provide the following services for the college: academic and administrative technology; technology infrastructure and telecommunications; data systems management; interactive systems and user support.
Reports to the Vice President for Institutional Advancement.

REQUIREMENTS:
SBTCE MINIMUM REQUIREMENT: A bachelor’s degree in communications, business administration, computer science, mathematics, statistics, management information science, computer technology, information technology or related field and four (4) years experience in telecommunications and/or data processing.

NETC PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: A bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field plus two (2) years successful experience in an information technology management/supervisory position, two (2) years technical hands-on networking experience, experience with administrative software implementation and maintenance, a thorough knowledge and experience with the current versions of Microsoft Server OS and Exchange. Strong leadership and organizational skills; excellent written and verbal communications skills. Ability to develop and maintain rapport and trust with staff, users, management and vendors. Ability to plan, organize, instruct and review the work of technical personnel. Experience with Cisco networking and/or Datatel Colleague a plus.

Budgeted Salary Range: $43,090 - $50,000
