IT Support Technician

Akron area professional college seeks an IT Support Technician to be responsible for troubleshooting conectivity issues for the online students. In addition the candidate will be creating new program content created by the faculty. Secondary responsibilities will be ensuring servers and workstations are maintained at the highest levels of availability and reliability.
Preferred certification in server systems, Microsoft environments, internet website maintenance. Associate Degree in Computer Science / Technology preferred. Maintain PC systems and networks, databases, etc.Full-time (40 hours per week) includes Monday thru Thursday 11am - 9pm, and Friday mornings 8am - 12pm.

REQUIREMENTS
A minimum of 1 – 2 years’ experience in an information systems environment to include extensive hands-on support in a Microsoft environment with LAN administration, and hands-on workstation/server troubleshooting. Proficiency required with: WIN2000 server, SQL, VPN/RAS & firewall config, SysLink WiFi, and VOIP protocol. MCSE certification or proof of completed training and test progress preferred.
