Youngstown State University invites applicants for the following faculty position available January 2, 2007.
SCHOOL OF TECHNOLOGY - INSTRUCTOR OR ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
Bachelor's degree in Marine or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of three years experience in fossil fuel (coal) fired power plant operations. State of Ohio Third Class Stationary Engineers license preferred. Excellent communication skills and computer literacy required. Successful candidates will teach a variety of courses in the Power Plant Technology, associate degree program. Knowledge of coal fired power plant systems and auxiliary equipment including boiler, turbine, generator, coal handling, feed water and condensate systems, water treatment, pollution control equipment, etc. are required. Scholarship and service in the area of curriculum development, lab development, student advising, and service on department, college and university committees expected. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Applications should be received by October 31, 2006 for full consideration.
