INSTRUCTIONAL SPECIALIST, TEACH INSTITUTE

The Instructional Specialist provides high quality instruction and advisement to Teacher Education and Childcare Institute (TEACH) students. The Instructional Specialist will have a major role in advising and recruitment for the TEACH Institute. In addition to advising responsibilities, instruction will also be integral to the position and may be in a variety of formats, including classroom, distance and online.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s degree in Education, Guidance, Counseling or related field such as school leadership required.

A minimum of three years experience teaching with adult learners, including two years experience advising students required. Experience in delivering instruction using various delivery modes preferred.

Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office and Internet required.

Ability to develop and support a website required. Excellent communication skills required.

Ability to work flexible hours and locations, including some weekends and evenings to accommodate the needs of the program required.

Administrative experience in a community college environment desirable.

Marketing experience preferred.
