The Human Resource Generalist professional will deliver Human Resources services to designated College departments and provide direct support to customers. Responsibilities include: Function as a consultant to management teams in departments served. Implement Human Resources strategies and programs. Provide coaching and professional development to staff and supervisors. Assist in the determination of staff development programming needs. Effectively provide management support regarding staffing, performance management, and employee relations. Provide training and communication for new policies, and on-going compliance, policy development and interpretation. Explain and interpret Middlebury College policies and procedures, and state and federal employment laws as they apply to the College. Serve as the liaison for the FMLA, Disability, and Workers compensation programs. Facilitate mediation for conflict management dialogues.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; 5 - 8 years experience as a Human Resource Generalist required. PHR/SPHR strongly recommended. Knowledge of state and federal employment laws. Computer proficiency necessary. Must handle confidential information in a discreet manner. Please apply on-line via our website.
