Healthcare Education Nurse

The District 1199C Training & Upgrading Fund is a nonprofit, educational trsut fund established in 1974 through collective bargaining to promote the advancement of healthcare workers. The Training Fund's Breslin Learning Center in Center City Philadelphia serves more than 17,000 people each year. The Breslin Learning Center supports an experienced staff of 70 instructors and 50 full-time staff. District 1199C Training Fund enjoys a national reputation as a model labor-management partnership in education. Student success is a result of caring teachers, small class size, counseling services, and a supportive environment. Nursing is the largest career ladder program available through the Training Fund, with state approved nurse aide and practical nursing programs. Preparatory classes are available to assist candidates to access these programs.
REQUIREMENTS
Full Time Practical Nursing Administrator/Teacher: PA RN licensed nurse with a BSN with a 5-year MSN plan; faculty member experience as well as administrative experience.

Part time Nurse Aide Instructors: PA RN licensed nurse to teach clinical and didactic for daytime classes. Nurse aide instructors must have two years of long term care experience (Train the Trainer certificate is a plus but not required).

Part time Practical Nursing Instructors: PA RN licensed nurse (MSN preferred but BSN considered) needed for clinical instruction for weekends. Two years recent medical/surgical clinical experience required.
