HUMAN RESOURCES TECHNICIAN
Join our team and start your career in HR! Arizona State Schools for the Deaf and the Blind (ASDB) has an exciting opportunity to work in a fast paced, educational environment. We are currently searching for a Human Resources Technician in both our Phoenix and Tucson locations. The qualified candidates will work closely with all members of the HR Team. You will also have direct contact with our internal and external clients, which includes assisting with recruiting, new hire orientation, facilitating paperwork and preparing correspondence, reports and forms as needed. Because we are an evolving HR department, you will have exposure to all areas of the profession, and the opportunity to work on projects and provide input on how we do business! In addition, you may have the opportunity to rotate through many different areas of HR, expanding your knowledge of benefits, HRIS, recruitment, policies and procedures.
You will be paid a starting hourly salary of $12.57 per hour. Scheduled hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (40 hours per week) with a 12-month calendar. In addition, you will be eligible for generous State of Arizona benefits, including medical, dental and vision. Other benefits include vacation, holidays, pension, and sick time (including paid shut-down during the holiday break).

REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications for Human Resources Technician position include the following:
A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint and Outlook.
Experience in administrative support and providing excellent customer service.
Possess a positive attitude, willingness to learn and a strong sense of initiative and responsibility.
Previous experience in Human Resources or with a State of Arizona agency is preferred, but not required.
