Fitness Instructors

Corinthian Colleges, Inc. a publicly traded corporation and one of the nation's leading providers of post-secondary training for adult learners with 130 campuses serving over 60,000 students is currently seeking highly motivated, goal-oriented Fitness Instructors to teach Fitness Training, Health and Wellness, Group Exercise, Exercise Physiology and Nutrition classes for our Ashmead College – Everett, WA campus.

Responsibilities include:
Plan course instruction based upon approved syllabus/outline provided, to assure that course content and objectives are met. Distribute a copy of the syllabi calendar to all students at first class meeting.
Utilize a variety of teaching styles and methods to accommodate diverse learning styles of students.
Design, administer and grade examinations to assess achievement of course objectives as identified in the syllabus.
Actively work to maintain retention in all classes taught, by maintaining accurate attendance records daily, calling all students who are absent, and recording absentee information in roster after each class meeting and communicating attendance “concerns” to the Director of Education
Be available to advise students, tutor and provide other assistance as needed.

REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidates will have a Bachelor of Science degree in a related field and practical experience in the area they teach. ACSM/NSCA certified preferred.
