FAMILY SERVICES COORDINATOR

Responsibilities include development, management and tracking of: family partnership systems including family goal setting, and support and follow-up around community services and resources; partnerships with community and state agencies providing services relevant to Head Start or its program participants, including transportation services and services for English Language Learners; child abuse and neglect prevention, identification and reporting systems; volunteer and internship systems; parent involvement in program and community functions and services; and parent education and family literacy initiatives. Participation in regional and state-based committee work.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services or related field, and 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience. 40 hrs/week, full year. Annual salary $39,200. Excellent benefits.

Successful applicants must have excellent verbal and written communication skills; skills in documentation and record-keeping; proficiency in MS Word, e-mail and internet; exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Must be energetic, positive, mature, professional, diplomatic, motivated, and have a can-do, extra-mile attitude.

A commitment to social justice and to working with families with limited financial resources is necessary. Clean driving record and access to reliable transportation required.
