Facility Educator/Staff Development Coordinator

HealthBridge Management has 15 locations in Massachusetts offering Long Term Care, Neurorehabilitation, Sub-Acute Services, Alzheimer/Dementia Programs and Behavioral Health.

HealthBridge is currently seeking a Facility Educator for our Lowell, Massachusetts facility, a 160-bed skilled nursing facility. Lowell Health Care Center is a flagship facility that is a premiere, patient first healthcare center. Lowell HCC is conveniently located walking distance to historic downtown Lowell and is just minutes from Routes 3, 495, 93 and commuter rail. Lowell HCC provides patient care to a younger resident population and has four units with three levels of care and has a solid recent survey history.

We are looking for a Nurse with heart enough to share.
In this position you will plan, develop, direct, evaluate and coordinate the education curriculum for clinical orientation and training. Participate in constructing class schedules, clinical training schedules, orientation programs and in-service training classes.
You will be responsible for the control of infection by evaluating types, trends and treatments as well as exposure risks and education.
You will assess resident placement, treatments and the results and/or cause of infection cases.
You will also play a proactive role in recruitment and selection process. Interviewing and touring potential employees.
You will organize and/or participate in Recruitment and Retention Committee.

$27.00-$30.00 per hour, flexible schedule available.
REQUIREMENTS

3 -5 years experience as Registered Nurse minimum.
Experience as a Nurse Supervisor preferably in LTC.
Training experience a must.
Work independently and be able to plan, organize and implement facility wide programs.
Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures as well as laws, regulations and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.
JCAHO experience a plus.
Certification in Infection Control is a plus but not a requirement.
One year plus experience in Infection Control as well as long term care experience is required
