Elementary and Middle School Computer Teacher

The Community Education Alliance of West Philadelphia (CEAWP) is a non-profit organization that, in partnership with Belmont and Family Charter Schools, has adopted the community of Belmont, one of the city’s most impoverished neighborhoods. Our unique partnership provides the highest quality academics and extensive social service programs to combat the conditions inherent in a life of poverty. It is our goal to provide students with a positive environment from which they can grow and reach their fullest potential.

Belmont Charter School seeks a full-time Computer Teacher for grades 2nd-8th.

Our innovative approach includes strong staff support systems and an appreciation for helping staff members develop and accomplish professional goals. Belmont’s team of teachers is encouraged to collaborate and their insight is regarded as a valuable asset.

Belmont Charter School prides itself on small class sizes averaging only 14 students! We are in need of a talented and energetic Computer Teacher for grades 2nd-8th for the 2006-2007 school year. This position requires flexibility, creativity, and an interest in program and curriculum development!

We are only looking for candidates who possess a genuine passion for impacting the lives of children! Ideal candidates will have worked previously in urban settings or with at-risk children and families and have at least 1 year of relevant teaching experience.
