Electrical Safety Instructor

Job Responsibilities:
I. PURPOSE / SUMMARY:This position is primarily accountable for the design, development, delivery and assessment of safety training; however, the scope will include supporting all company training. The person selected for this position will also be responsible for designing and standardizing our compliance training such as NFPA 70E, NEC, and Electrical Safety training. This person will quote, design, teach, and assess compliance training as well as use other tools and programs which address the critical business issues of the customer training department.A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering a safety related field or equivalent experience is desired. An industry recognized safety certification; e. g. ASSE, OSHA, MSHA is highly desirable. The successful candidate should have a documented history of safety training.II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:A. Interfaces with the Services Customer Training team and subject matter experts to design, develop and deliver technical training tools and programs within given budgetary requirements. Assesses customer needs for future course development.B. Keep abreast of current industry codes and standards which affect our industry.C. Works with safety and compliance organizations to represent the company in a positive and professional manner.
D. Works with various departments in needs discovery, team building, conflict resolution and/or strategic planning. Helps to ensure goals are in the best interest of the company while properly utilizing employees to achieve those goals.E. Designs self paced material to be offered via the Intranet/Internet. Converts existing instructor-led and self-paced material for offering via same mediums.F. Delivers train-the-trainer courses and assists in the development of the network.G. Provides guidance and direction to less experienced personnel regarding training and technical problems.H. May be responsible for project budgeting and/or budget management.I.
