Prairie State College - a comprehensive community college located in a diverse district 25 miles south of downtown Chicago - is accepting applications for the following administrative positions.
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF
HUMAN RESOURCES &
EMPLOYEE RELATIONS
The Executive Director will report to the Vice President of Student Affairs and will beresponsible for the administration and day-to-day operation of the institution's humanresource functions including employee benefits, compensation, recruitment, employment, employee orientation, staff training and development recognition program and employee relations. The Executive Director is also responsible for personnel records, human resource information systems and payroll. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in human resources, business administration, public administration or related field; history of progressively responsible experience in developing, administering and evaluating HR policies and programs, preferably in higher education; 5 years supervisory experience, incl. budgetary planning, benefits administration, policy & procedure development and administration, and working knowledge of general management theory and practice; knowledge of integrated computer systems that incorporate human resources operations; demonstrated knowledge of employee training& counseling; demonstrated oral, written & interpersonal skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of federal, state and local statutes related to higher education & community colleges; knowledge of Datatel Colleague computer applications & programs in human resources; 3 years community college or university human resources experience.

MANAGEMENT INFORMATION
SYSTEMS & SERVICES
The Executive Director will report to the Vice President of Business & Information Services and will be responsible for providing administrative direction to the Data Services Center, as well as the area of Institutional Support Services. The Executive Director is also responsible for providing college-wide direction in the areas of information technology and management information systems necessary to achieve established goals and objectives of the College.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or related area; MUST HAVE 5 years experience in supervision and administration of people; 5 years experience in computer system capabilities, applications, and operations to include experience in the theoretical aspects and applications of management information systems; solid oral and writtencommunication skills are essential. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in management information systems or related area; 2 years' experience in a college or educational setting; experience with Datatel's Colleague product.
