Junior Achievement is the bridge between education and business for our community's youth. Thorough our in-classroom kindergarten through 12th grade programs, JA prepares youth with the practical economic concepts and skills needed to become self-sufficient young adults and productive members of our communities. JA was founded in Tucson in 1957 and is currently delivering business and economic programs to 4600 youth in Tucson annually. JA's program success is defined by the energy that occurs when positive adult-role models (volunteers from the business community) inspire children at all grade levels. Volunteers representing various Tucson industries bring important lessons about business, economics and everyday life into the classrooms reaching diverse groups of students using hands-on interactive materials. We are looking for a dynamic PROGRAM MANAGER to manage the implementation of our programs with schools, educators and volunteers, and to increase the program's reach through a combination of marketing to business and educators, fundraising, and special events management. Program Managers focus on the K-12 in-classroom JA programs by marketing to principals, teachers, and volunteers. This position partners volunteers with educators who would like to implement JA programs in their classroom, and is the liaison to ensure JA programs are implemented successfully. Program Managers manage volunteers, with particular emphasis on training, placement, support, materials, recognition and evaluation. This position will also market and secure participants in our annual special events. Primary Responsibilities: Market and find new sponsors, volunteers and educators to participate in JA programs, via public speaking engagements, attendance at education fairs, etc. Responsible for volunteer and school recruiting and retention. Develop and implement training programs and training evaluations. coordinate the placement and scheduling of trained & returning volunteers. Conduct status calls with educators and volunteers, to ensure JA programs are delivered and completed in a timely manner. Manage all educator and volunteer training, program management, and customer support. Be the main contact for all program related questions from volunteers and educators. Solicit feedback through a final evaluation instrument. Follow state wide standards and processes. Train and mange school and business coordinators to ensure the effective delivery of JA programs. Implement educator growth strategy by using mail, email, phone, school visits and recognition/ retention sessions. Manage program implementation by gaining a thorough understanding of Junior Achievement curriculum. Market and find new sponsoring companies to participate in JA special events, through prospect identification, public speaking engagements, attendance at community fairs, etc. Responsible for logistics and event management. Prepare materials for Executive Director and Corporate Office as needed. JOB REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Strong oral and written communication skills. Detail orientation and high level or organization skills. Ability to perform multi-level tasks in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment. Strong marketing/ persuasion skills. Ability to do projects that involve both self-direction and team work. Financial and business acumen; strong oral/ written communication; collaborative skills. Organization/ planning and manage time/ tasks effectively and proficiently. Project management skills. High degree of initiative and ownership, track record of being held accountable for specific results, and a proven history of delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
