Director of University Dining

Dynamic opportunity for a Dining Services Executive

This executive will direct a staff of 800+ employees in the Food Services Department of a major educational institution. In this role you will be responsible for the day-to-day functions of multiple dining centers, on-site catering, vending, convenience stores, retail operations, central food stores and computer support systems.

You will prepare and administer an operating budget of over $20 million including Operating, Labor, and Capital Costs. You will guide menu development, analyze trends, implement marketing plans and influence the overall strategic direction of the department.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree is required; Graduate degree in Hotel, Restaurant & Institutional Management, Dietetics, or Business Administration is a plus. This individual will have demonstrated success in developing and supervising a senior management team. A minimum of 10 years of multi-unit food service management experience within an educational institution is required. You may have managed multi-outlet food service within an airline, corporate or entertainment destination environment. You will have especially strong retail operations experience with multi-branded concepts. You have rennovation experience.

You must have a strong understanding of how to drive and achieve P&L goals through leading all levels of employees with an emphasis on guest service and the flawless execution of day to day business. You are a hands-on operator with a “big picture” perspective and vision. You have background in proven project management and demonstrated leadership experience within a corporate environment where change is constant. This individual will have excellent interpersonal skills which will enable him/her to interact with a range of personalities and styles and to establish effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
