Director of Sexual Harassment Prevention and Diversity Education

Through our programs we work to support lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning and ally students, staff and faculty and promote a supporting and accepting climate regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.

The University of California at Santa Barbara is currently seeking qualified individuals for its Director of Sexual Harassment Prevention and Diversity Education position. This individual will manage the campus-wide educational program focusing on the education and prevention of harassment, discrimination and retaliation.
REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrate knowledge and expertise in the prevention of harassment, discrimination and retaliation. The individual should have knowledge and demonstrate experience providing training and facilitating workshops for students, staff and faculty. This person should have the ability to design innovative workshops for various constituencies, including group exercises involving gender, race and cultural issues. This person should posses excellent verbal, written communication and analytical skills. Familiarity with University sexual harassment policies and procedures. Able to work as a team-member in an environment which functions as an advocate for women and people of color. Knowledge, awareness and sensitivity to issues relating to people under all protected categories. Note: Fingerprinting required. Occasional weekends and evenings.
