Director - RELATED SERVICES
The Baltimore City Public School System is seeking a Director of Related Services who is responsible for providing direction and leadership in the management and supervision of all related service programs and activities for BCPSS. Directs central administrative and school-based activities relevant to the provision of special education and student services to ensure the delivery of related services for all BCPSS schools in accordance with legal mandates.
Qualified candidates will have the following minimum qualifications: Masters degree in special education, education administration, or related clinical service area. MSDE certification and/or Maryland Licensure in a related clinical service area. Seven successful years of supervisory or management experience in clinical services preferably in a K-12 public education setting. Specific experience in the interpretation and implementation of federal and state legislation and guidelines governing education and the IEP process. Documented experience and participation in the IEP process. Experience in the provision of crisis intervention. Experience in planning and conducting professional staff development activities.
