Director, Accelerated Degree Evening Program (ADEP Rochester)

To manage and promote the program. The Director is responsible for the overall operation of the program, for supervising all site employees, and for promoting the program to the community and the College.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee recruitment, admissions, advisement, registration, financial aid, student accounts, and orientation for students.
Plan term calendars and course offerings for each term.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with the external community, particularly with employers who provide education benefits to their employees.
Other duties as assigned or necessary.
REQUIREMENTS
Required Qualifications: -M.A. required.Two to three years experience in management.
Two years experience in higher education setting--college, university or training area of a major corporation -- is required.
Excellent communication skills, strong customer service orientation, and ability to relate to a wide variety of people.
Ability to simultaneously manage and coordinate a large number of varying tasks.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Willingness to learn custom software.
Ability to capitalize on and use new technology to improve the program.
Presence to publicly represent the College.
Sufficient manual dexterity, required in order to operate all office equipment including, but not limited to: computer, copy machines, answering machines (AUDIX), and telephones.
Ability to perceive where discretion is necessary and maintain confidentiality.
Ability to work independently with minimal direction supervision; self-motivated.
Ability to perform all of the above functions during assigned hours without significant risk of injury.Preferred Qualifications: -Ph.D. preferred.
Experience in adult higher education programs is preferred.Special Instructions To Applicants: None
